Christ is Risen!
This Sunday is the greatest day in the history of the world - the day we celebrate Jesus' Resurrection from the dead. By God's grace, we share in the victory of our Lord. Because He lives, we will live also. Because He has overcome satan, we no longer fear our enemy. Because the tomb is empty , our empty hearts can be filled with life and love and peace. He is risen! Hallelujah!
When Jesus died on the cross, the disciples were despondent. All their hopes seemed lost. I am sure the devil tried to discourage them and told them to quit. Perhaps they thought that the long dark night of despair would never end. They couldn't see their way forward. But though Friday looked dark, Sunday was coming. Though the cross seemed to steal their joy, the empty tomb would re-awaken their faith and bring a new purpose to them. So it is for us today. No matter how dark the night, the dawn is just around the corner. With Jesus on our side and in our hearts we are sure to overcome. Resurrection power is here! Reach up and believe and receive from the Lord today.
